And what’s so strange about all these scores?
Intriguing!
They are all extraordinary scores to a football fan, but all true. Even the first one at 149-0 which was a fixed game to allow another club to escape relegation.
Really! I thought they might have been throw-ins or fouls, never goals! Match fixing at it best!
Only one draw. Vernon will be pleased
Anybody who anticipates a 6-6 draw deserves the jackpot all to themselves! Thanks a lot for your interest, Derrick.
I once saw Leicester beat West Ham 5-4 – What a game that was. I love that last but one picture, it could have come straight from my dad’s scrap book!
I think if you love a team, you never forget a match like that. I was at the Baseball Ground to watch Derby draw 4-4 with Bobby Charlton, George Best, Denis Law and co, and I will never forget it!
For many seasons (1995-2000)ish I used to go to the Baseball Ground and sit in the cheap seats at one of the corner flags. It was below pitch level and freezing cold.
Most of these look like Rugby scores! I thought they might be record defeats, but then I saw one draw. You have me stumped John!
They are just scores which seem extraordinary to a football fan but are actually true results. Perhaps I should have included that old English favourite from the 1950 World Cup…..England 0 USA 1.
Extraordinary scores! Thanks for an intriguing post John.
Makes me wish I followed the game more closely.
I think it’s just what you are brought up to like. I quite often watch American Football when it comes on our TV screens, and I love the skill and athleticism of all the players, But I don’t really mind who wins….and that’s not a real fan!!
I know what you mean. I always need someone to root for. I’ve always admired the stamina of your football players, but it was never on tv steady enough for me to follow any particular team.
Hmmmm …. Seeing I really no next to nothing about your type of football, I have no idea what seems different about the scores. LOL ❤
They are scores which seem to a soccer fan to be verging on the impossible, but in actual fact are known to be true.
